Katungulu Mwendwa is a Nairobi-based designer and Founder of KATUSH. For over a decade, she has built a brand rooted in place — shaped by the quiet sophistication of the city and the craftsmanship of East Africa.

Her work is process-led and intentional. She collaborates with regional artisans, works with natural fibres, and designs garments that are made to be lived in — pieces that hold memory and evolve with their wearer. From CMiA-certified cotton sourced in Uganda and milled in Kenya to embellishments inspired by regional traditions of adornment, each collection reflects a commitment to origin, detail, and longevity.

At its core, her practice is about creating objects of meaning — clothing that marks experience and endures beyond season.
